Minister's Decisions under Customs Duties Act.
Customs Department, Wellington, 12th January, 1916.
IT is hereby notified for public information that the Hon. the Minister of Customs has decided to interpret the Customs Duties Act in relation to the undermentioned articles as follows:—
NOTE.—“Not otherwise enumerated” appears as n.o.e.; “other kinds” as o.k.; “articles and materials suited only for, and to be used solely in, the fabrication of goods in the Dominion” as a. & m.s. Articles marked thus † are revised decisions.

The Census and Statistics Act, 1910.—Agricultural and Pastoral Statistics.

IN accordance with the provisions of the Census and Statistics Act, 1910, the Department of Agriculture collected through the post returns of the areas under grain (for threshing only) and root crops in the various districts for the current season (1915-16), and the following table gives the results of the compilation made therefrom. The figures may be taken as a fairly accurate estimate of the areas under the respective crops.
