Additional Land at Riverton taken for the Purposes of the Western Railways.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Western Railways to take further land at Riverton, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 5·33 perches, portion of Section 14, 4 perches, portion of Section 15, and 1·33 perches, portion of Section 16, Block IV, Town of Riverton; and 1·33 perches, portion of Section 22, and 5·33 perches, portion of Section 24, Block VIII, Town of Riverton.

Situated in Borough of Riverton.

In the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 23265, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red and blue.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Borough of Te Kuiti.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes:

And whereas such land is situated in the Borough of Te Kuiti, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,

in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Te Kuiti Borough Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 1 rood 15 perches and 33·9 perches.

Portions of railway reserve (S.O. 18386, blue).

Situated in Blocks III and IV, Otanake Survey District, Borough of Te Kuiti.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 23032, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Amending Part of a Proclamation proclaiming Land as a Road and Street, and Road and Street closed, in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, Point Chevalier Road District, and City of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section five of the Land Act, 1908, it is therein provided that every Proclamation, Order in Council, and other instrument, whether made under any Act in force prior to the commencement of that Act, or made under or by virtue of that Act, and all regulations, by-laws, conditions, or rules made by the Governor, the Minister, or any Land Board, may be altered, amended, or revoked from time to time:

And whereas it is necessary to amend a Proclamation issued under the said Act, proclaiming land as a road and street, and road and street closed, in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, dated the third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 128, page 3760, of the eleventh day of the same month, and hereinafter referred to as “the said Proclamation”:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby amend the said Proclamation as follows—namely, by the substitution of the word “suburbs” for the word “city” wherever it appears in the Schedules of the said Proclamation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.
