6. Regulations as to deer “tags,” per New Zealand Gazette No. 40, Vol. I, of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the Secretary of the Canterbury Acclimatization Society, Christchurch, immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such “tags” have been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer shot.
7. Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Southland.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Southland Acclimatization District, exclusive of all sanctuaries, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.
- Red deer (stags only) may be taken or killed within the Southland Acclimatization District, exclusive of all sanctuaries, from the 1st day of April, 1916, to the 1st day of May, 1916, both days inclusive.
- Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Invercargill on payment of a license fee of £5 5s., in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number of such licenses shall not exceed six, provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.
- No licensee shall take or kill more than two stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than ten points.
- No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever, and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Approving the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Relief Association under the War Contributions Validation Act, 1914 (No. 2).
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by section two of the War Contributions Validation Act, 1914 (No. 2), (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”) it is enacted as follows:—
Contributions, whether in money or kind, may be made by any local authority or body of persons, whether corporate or unincorporate, other than private trustees under a settlement of will—
(a.) For the relief of distress occasioned by the war in which His Majesty is at present engaged, whether such distress exists in New Zealand or elsewhere in the British Dominions, or in any country allied to His Majesty;
(b.) For any patriotic objects approved for the purposes of this Act by the Governor, provided that every such contribution is paid either—
(1.) Into a public fund established by the Government, or by any local authority, for the purposes of such relief of distress, or patriotic objects; or
(2.) Into a fund established by persons other than the Government or a local authority, where such fund and the conditions of control and expenditure thereof are approved for the purposes of this Act by the Governor:
And whereas certain persons in the Provincial District of Auckland have formed themselves into an association known as the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Relief Association for the following purposes, namely:—
(a.) To provide money, or equipment, or relief for soldiers, sailors, members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces, and nurses enlisting from the area of the association’s operations who may be wounded, injured, or otherwise wholly or partially incapacitated from any cause arising during active service, and the dependents of such persons and of those killed or dying on active service, or from any cause arising during active service.
(b.) To raise and expend funds for general war or relief purposes, or for objects incidental to or arising out of the course or prosecution of the present war, and in particular to set aside and expend the sum of twenty thousand pounds for purposes incidental to the relief of distress in the City of Auckland, and for general patriotic purposes, in such manner as the association may from time to time determine; provided that all moneys raised shall be expended only for the specific purpose for which they were subscribed or raised:
And whereas the said association has established a fund for the promotion of the objects hereinbefore expressed, and has submitted the said fund and the conditions of control and the expenditure thereof for approval, as required by the hereinbefore-quoted provisions of the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby approve for the purposes of the said Act—
(1.) The fund hereinbefore referred to, established by the Auckland Provincial Patriotic and War Relief Association; and
(2.) The conditions of control and expenditure of the said fund, as set out in the rules adopted by the said association on the thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and amended on the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
