Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that, on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act, the Governor may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

SCHEDULE.

MANGAORAPA 3A Block: Approximate area, 310 acres 1 rood 6 perches; Porangahau Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

ERRATA.—In the Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 128, page 3563, of 16th November, 1916, for “Spring Creek River Board” read “Spring Creek Road Board.”

In clause 2 of the Schedule to the license authorizing the Riccarton Borough Council to erect electric lines within the Borough of Riccarton, published in Gazette No. 131, pages 3625 and 3626, of the 23rd November, 1916, for “Paragraph 2 (c) of clause 2” read “Paragraph (c) of clause 2.”
