HIS Excellency the Governor has, in pursuance of section 48 (a) of the Land Act, 1908, approved of meetings of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board being held during the year 1917 at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, at 10 o’clock a.m. on 12th January, 9th February, 9th March, 13th April, 11th May, 8th June, 13th July, 10th August, 14th September, 12th October, 9th November, and 14th December; and at the local Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, on 15th January, 16th April, 16th July, and 15th October.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Seaforth Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from 30th October, 1916.

SEAFOORTH SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 522 acres 1 rood 3 perches, more or less, and being Section 3904 and parts Sections 4014, 8028, 8330, 12168, and 12287, situated in Block IX, Arowhenua Survey District. Commencing at the south-west corner of Section 3911, and bounded on the north-east by other parts of the aforesaid Sections 8028, 4014, 12168, and 12287, 10009·6 links and 423·5 links: on the south-east by Reserve 2593, 1995·4 links, 2416·1 links, and 2589·1 links; on the south-west by Reserve 2593, 125 links, and by Sections 6, 5, 4, and 1 of the Meadows Settlement, 5624 links; on the north-west by other parts of Sections 4014 and 8028, 2415·5 links and 2347·8 links, and across a public road, 100 links; again on the south-west by a public road,
