  • Deduction made from salary in accordance with scale.
    † When before promotion, or partly before and partly after, a full year at £150 has been served the salary rises to £155, the next increment being a year thereafter.
    ‡ When before promotion, or partly before and partly after, a full year at £105 has been served the salary rises to £110, the next increment being a year thereafter.

NOTE.—Promotion of Probationers to Juniors and of Juniors to Senior Nurses and Attendants follows examination at the end of first and third year respectively. Under special circumstances, Juniors unsuccessful at examination may pass to the rank of Senior at the end of four years.

Where £5 annual increments are shown against any class of tradesmen in this list increments of £10 may be given in special cases.
