Revoking Appointment of Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board as a Local Authority for certain Purposes of Public Health Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of November, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the twenty-seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth idem, the Cook and Waikohu Counties were combined for certain purposes of the Public Health Act, 1908, mentioned in the Schedule thereto, and the Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was declared for those purposes to be the local authority within the combined districts: And whereas it is desirable that the said Order in Council should be revoked:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the above-mentioned Order in Council, and doth hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect as from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Vesting a Reserve in the Point Chevalier Road Board.


LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of November, 1916.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved as a site for public buildings of the local governing body: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Corporation of the Point Chevalier Road District:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Corporation of the Point Chevalier Road District, in trust, as a site for public buildings of the local governing body.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Allotment 184, Parish of Titirangi, and containing by admeasurement 1 rood 15·75 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west by Allotment 183 of the said Parish of Titirangi, 86·3 links; towards the north-east by Point Chevalier Road, 50·7 links; towards the east by Allotment 107 of the aforesaid parish, 298·6 links; towards the south-east by the Great North Road, 112·2 links; and towards the west by Allotment Part 18A, Parish of Titirangi, 354·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/128, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink. (Auckland Plan No. 17569.)

Fixing Sittings of the Supreme Court in the Northern Judicial District.


WE, five of the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in us by the Judicature Act, 1908, hereby make the following rules respecting the places and times for holding sittings of the Supreme Court and sittings in Chambers, in the Northern Judicial District, for the year 1917:—

Sittings for the trial of civil actions will be held at the Supreme Court House, AUCKLAND, to commence on the following days, at 11 a.m.:—

Monday, 12th February.
Monday, 14th May.
Monday, 6th August.
Monday, 5th November.

Sittings for the trial of criminal cases will be held at the Supreme Court House, AUCKLAND, to commence on the following days, at 11 a.m.:—

Monday, 5th February.
Monday, 21st May.
Monday, 13th August.
Monday, 12th November.

The trial of causes under the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1908, may take place at any of the above-mentioned sittings for the trial of civil actions.

Sittings of the Court in Banco will be held at the Courthouse, AUCKLAND, every Wednesday, at half past 10 o’clock in the forenoon, except during vacation or the absence of the Judge, or unless the Judge is engaged on other business.

Sittings in Chambers will be held at the Judge’s Chambers, in the Courthouse, AUCKLAND, every Tuesday and Friday, at half past 10 o’clock in the forenoon, except during vacation or the absence of the Judge, or unless the Judge is engaged on other business.

Sittings in Chambers at other times and in vacation, in respect of urgent business, may be held at such times and places as may suit the convenience of the Judge.

If any of the days above appointed for sittings should be a public holiday, the sitting will commence on the first day after the day so appointed which is not a holiday.

Given under our hands, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.

WE, five of the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in us by the Judicature Act, 1908, hereby make the following rules respecting the places and times for holding sittings of the Supreme Court and sittings in Chambers, in the Judicial District of Hamilton, for the year 1917:—

Sittings for the trial of criminal and civil cases, and causes under the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1908, will be held at the Supreme Court House, HAMILTON, to commence on the following days, at 11 a.m.:—

Tuesday, 6th March.
Tuesday, 5th June.
Tuesday, 4th September.
Tuesday, 11th December.

Such business in Banco and in Chambers as the Judge shall allow may be disposed of in the course of these sittings, at such days and hours as the Judge may appoint.

If any of the days above appointed for sittings should be a public holiday, the sitting will commence on the first day after the day so appointed which is not a holiday.
