TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

STREETS IMPROVEMENTS LOAN OF £5,000.—COPY OF RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE PASSED AT A MEETING HELD ON 23RD OCTOBER, 1916, AT 7.30 P.M.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the undermentioned streets of the borough, and purchasing, acquiring, towing, hauling, spreading, and rolling the metal, the nature of the work and the estimated cost and amount proposed to be spent on each street being as follows:—

the Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence three-farthings (3¾d.) in the pound sterling on the annual value of all rateable property of the Borough of Tauranga, comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between the undersigned GEORGE HENRY CHURCH and FRANCIS PATON, under the style or firm of “Church & Paton,” has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business of the Partnership will be carried on by the said G. H. CHURCH, who will discharge the liabilities and collect the book-debts thereof.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £255, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling, in conjunction with the Moa Road Board, about 58 chains of the Mangaotea Road, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and thirteen-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangaotea Road No. 2 Special-rating District, comprising Sections 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, and 20 of Block X, Huiroa Survey District; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 20th day of September, 1916, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 18th day of October, 1916.

COLONIAL ACETYLENE CONTRACTING COMPANY OF NEW ZEALAND (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders in the above-named company will be held at the office of Messrs. Gorrie & Carlaw, 204 Victoria Arcade, Auckland, on Thursday, 23rd November, 1916, at 2.30 p.m.

BUSINESS.

  1. To receive the Liquidator’s accounts, and his report of the winding-up.
  2. To pass, if thought fit, the following extraordinary resolution: “That the books, accounts, and documents of the company, and of the Liquidator, after being retained by the Liquidator for a period of one year, be destroyed.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between us, the undersigned, CHARLES ERNEST STATHAM and RALPH RYLANCE ASPINALL, as Barristers and Solicitors, carried on at Dunedin under the style or firm of “Statham & Aspinall,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and that the business of the late firm will in future be carried on by the said RALPH RYLANCE ASPINALL in his own name.
