Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement
land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way
of lease to discharged soldiers, on ordinary tenures, under
the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Wellington Land
District has recommended that the Crown tenant
of the land described in the Schedule hereto should be
afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over
which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of
the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies
Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described
in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of
section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act,
1908 ; and I do further fix two years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said
land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

Resuming Land for a Gravel-pit, Town of Glenorchy, Otago
Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of
the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor in Council
may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased
under Part III of the said Act, or under any corresponding
Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required
for any public purpose :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land which is held under renewable lease from
His Majesty the King issued under Part III of the Land
Act, 1908, and the Mining Act, 1908, dated the eighth day
of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven:

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public
purpose--that is to say, for a gravel-pit:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred
and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers
and authorities in anyway enabling me in this behalf, I,
Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby
resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule
hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the
same being part of the land held under renewable lease as
aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 11 (formerly portion of Section 2), Block XIV, Town of Glenorchy.
Bounded towards the north-west by Mull Street, 150 links;
towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by
Section 2 of the said Block XIV, 166·6, 150, and 166·6 links
respectively. As the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 6/5/33, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-
Waikato Railway to take further land at Westfield, in
addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the
said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by
sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 4·3 perches.
Portion of Buckland's Grant (S.O. 19092, blue), Block VI,
Otauhuhu Survey District, Eden County.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 24135
