Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Rangiotu, in the Manawatu County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the County of Manawatu, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Manawatu County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 0 roods 37·1 perches.

Portion of railway reserve (S.O. 1363), Block IV. Mount Robinson Survey District, Manawatu County.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 23987, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner and mortgagee of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Waimarino County Council and the Raetihi Town Board, being the local authorities in whose districts the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374 of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that, on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act, the Governor may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the said Act:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.


SCHEDULE.

ALL those parcels of land in the Taranaki Land District, containing together 1 acre 1 rood, being Subdivisions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Section 123, Block I, Opunake Survey District, being the land known as Ngatihaupoto Grant 3948 No. 3A, West Coast Settlement Reserves.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen.
