Altering Boundaries of Dannevirke and Woodville Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Dannevirke County Council, in pursuance of subsection three of section three of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), duly presented a petition, in accordance with the said subsection three, praying that the boundaries of the Counties of Woodville and Dannevirke be altered by including in the said County of Dannevirke the area of the County of Woodville described in that petition:
And whereas a Commission was appointed to inquire and report thereon in accordance with the said subsection three, and has duly reported that the boundaries of the said counties should be altered in the manner described in the report of the said Commission:
And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries of the said counties in such manner as is deemed to be in accordance with such report:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the County of Woodville, shall, as from the thirty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, be deemed to be added to and form part of the County of Dannevirke; and, with the like power and authority, do also proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Counties of Woodville and Dannevirke as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE EXCLUDED FROM WOODVILLE COUNTY AND ADDED TO DANNEVIRKE COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 5, Block XI, Tahoraite Survey District; thence along the north-western boundary of that section to the Otopae-Kaitoki Road, along the western side of that road northwards to the Otopae Stream, along that stream to the northern boundary of Section 7, Block XI aforesaid, along the northern boundary of that section and of Sections 6 and 3, Block XVIII, and the eastern boundary of Section 3, across a road, and along the eastern boundary of Section 1 to the Mangatoro Stream, along that stream and part of the north-eastern boundary of Section 11, Block XVI, Tahoraite Survey District, to the northernmost corner of Section 7, then along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 7 and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 8 and 9, Block XVI aforesaid, and the Mangatoro Stream, to the northern boundary of the Wellington Land District; thence by that boundary to the rabbit-fence reserve, and along the eastern side of that reserve to a point opposite the southernmost corner of Section 8, Block XV, across the said reserve, and along the eastern boundaries of Sections 8 and 9 and the southern boundary of Section 4 to and across the road forming the western boundary of that section, along the western side of that road to the north-eastern corner of Section 1, Block XV aforesaid, along the northern boundary of that section and the northern boundaries of Sections 40, 39, and 38, Block XIV, Tahoraite Survey District, to the westernmost corner of Section 5, Block XI, the place of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
WOODVILLE COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded towards the north-east by the Dannevirke County hereinbefore described from the summit of the Ruahine Range to the northern boundary of the Wellington Land District; thence towards the south by the said northern boundary to the Manawatu River, to and by a line along the middle of that river to a point in the Manawatu Gorge opposite the summit of the Ruahine Range, and thence towards the north-west by a line to and along the summit of that range to Dannevirke County, the place of commencement; excluding the Borough of Woodville.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
DANNEVIRKE COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded towards the north generally by Waipawa County as described in the First Schedule to the Waipawa County Act, 1907, from the summit of the Ruahine Range to the Manga-
