The excess of the departures from New Zealand over the arrivals therein during the month of August, 1916, was therefore 200 persons, as against an excess of arrivals over departures amounting to 154 in the corresponding month of 1915.

It is important to mention that, in the returns from which this table is made up, immigrants to the Dominion are all counted at the first port of arrival, and emigrants at the final port of departure.

I, ROBERT EDWARD HAYES, Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Whangarei Philharmonic Society is no longer carrying on its operations and has no assets, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved, in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.
