Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notices (two), received from the Heathcote County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Special Loan of £3,500 to install Electric Light in the St. Martins Electric Lighting Special-loan Area of the County of Heathcote.

IN pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the St. Martins Electric Lighting Special-loan Area of the County of Heathcote, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £3,500 for installation of electricity, &c., the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 51, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 35.

I therefore declare the proposal was rejected.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Special Loan of £2,500 for Public Works in the St. Martins Public Works Special-loan Area.

IN pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the St. Martins Public Works Special-loan Area of the County of Heathcote, on the proposal to borrow the sums of £2,500 for public works, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 21, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 58.

I therefore declare the proposal was rejected.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

In the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the regulations thereunder.

I HEREBY give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Petone Eastern Special-rating Area, as defined by a resolution of the Petone Borough Council passed on the 14th day of December, 1914, taken on the 14th day of July, 1915, on the proposal of the Petone Borough Council to borrow the sum of £25,000 for the purpose of carrying out sewerage drainage within the Eastern Petone Sewage Area, the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For, 72; against, 8.

And I therefore declare the said proposal to be carried.

Dated at Petone this 15th day of July, 1915.

NEW LYNN TOWN DISTRICT.

Hetana Hamlet Special-rating District.—Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

In the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Hetana Hamlet Special-rating District was taken on the 5th day of June, 1915, on the proposal of the New Lynn Town Board to borrow the sum of £650 for purposes of road-construction work on roads situated within the said Hetana Hamlet Special-rating District.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 24. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 21. The number of informal votes was 4.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Dated this 5th day of June, 1915.

Appointment of Examination-places under the Customs Act, 1913.

IN exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by the Customs Act, 1913, I, William Herbert Herries, Minister of Customs, by this warrant do revoke the appointment as places for the examination of goods subject to the control of the Customs of the following buildings enumerated in the Second Schedule of Minister’s Order No. 1084, dated the 28th May, 1914, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th June, 1914, viz. :—

Name of port: Dunedin.
Situation: marks, numbers, or description,—
Birch Street Wharf: 4 wharf sheds marked A, W, K, L.
Cross Wharf: Wharf shed marked M.

And do in lieu thereof appoint the following buildings to be places for the examination of goods subject to the control of the Customs, viz. :—

Situation: marks, numbers, or description,—
Birch Street Wharf: 4 wharf sheds marked E, F, G, J.
Cross Wharf: Wharf shed marked L.

This warrant shall take effect on and from the 1st day of August, 1915.
