Application for Avoidance or Suspension of Trade-marks.—
Trade-marks (Temporary) Regulations, 1914.

NOTICE is hereby given that W. S. Laurie and Co.,
of Custom Street, Auckland, New Zealand, Merchants,
have lodged an application for the avoidance or suspension
of the following trade-marks :—
1720/1386, bearing date the 20th June, 1896, consisting
of device of star and words “Star Brand Phosphate,” and
registered in Class 2 in respect of artificial manures, in the
name of Thomas—phosphat—Fabriken, Gesellschaft mit
Beschrankter Haftung, of Karlsbad 17, Berlin, Germany.
8977/7249, bearing date the 31st August, 1910, consisting
of device of Star, words “Stern Marke,” &c., and registered
in Class 2 in respect of artificial manures, in the name of
Thomasphosphatfabriken Gesellschaft mit Beschrankter
Haftung, of Karlsbad 17, Berlin, Germany.
Any person interested who desires to be heard in opposition
to the above-mentioned application should give notice in
writing addressed to the Registrar of Trade-marks, Wellington,
on or before Thursday, the 5th August, 1915.

Department, Dunedin.

Wellington, 16th July, 1915.

APPLICATIONS will be received by the undersigned up
till noon on the 7th August, 1915, for the position of
Clerk, Labour Department, Dunedin.

  1. Applications, to be made on P.S.C. Form 17A, obtainable
    from principal post-offices, should be addressed to the Secre-
    tary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must
    embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars
    of age, &c.

  2. Applicants must have a good general clerical experience,
    with some knowledge of correspondence and accounts.

The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the
Public Service Act, 1912.

The position will be graded in the Clerical Division,
Class VII. Salary, £150.
