Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as an endowment for primary education.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 160 acres, more or less, being Section 15, Block VIII, Burnett Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section 6; towards the north-east by Section 11; towards the south-east by a public road and Section 3; and towards the south-west generally by Section 4, public roads, and Section 9: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/47, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Section 14, Block XIV, Kawhia North Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Kinohaku West No. 12a Block, 429·8 links; towards the south-east by a right line bearing 192° 52′, 836·2 links; towards the south-west by a road bearing 282° 33′, 492·5 links; and towards the west generally by right lines bearing 41° 48′, 246·8 links, 340° 6′, 161·4 links, and 19° 13′, 388·2 links; be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. II/75, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 18264, blue.) For a public cemetery.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being Section 9, Teasdale Settlement (Block II, Puniu Survey District). Bounded towards the north-east by the Manga hoe Stream; towards the south-east by Arawata Street, 350 links; towards the south-west by a right line, 730·4 links; and towards the north-west by Section 8 of the aforesaid settlement, 202 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/1/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 13967, blue.) For a site for a drill-shed.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the thirtieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Situated at the junction of the Maire and Pungarehu Roads with the Mahoenui–Kawhia Road, about twenty-five miles from Te Kuiti by bridle-track or about thirty-two miles by wagon-road. Mostly level and undulating sections, but a few are hilly and rocky.

RURAL LAND.

Waitomo County.—Pakaumanu Survey District.

Section 8, Block I: Area, 6 acres; upset price, £18.
Section 9, Block I: Area, 14 acres; upset price, £42.
Section 10, Block I: Area, 30 acres; upset price, £90.

Weighted for improvements as follows: Section 8—felling and grassing, 3½ acres, £7; Section 9—felling and grassing, 3½ acres, £7; Section 10—ploughing, 10 acres, £12.

Undulating to broken country. On Sections 8 and 3½ acres of bush has been felled and grassed on each section; on Section 10 about 10 acres has been cleared and ploughed; balance of sections fern and manuka. Soil of medium quality on limestone formation. Section 8 fairly watered by small stream, other sections badly watered. Sections front Rangi-toto–Te Kuiti Road, about six miles from Te Kuiti by formed dray-road.
