Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Council of the County of Opotiki, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

OPOITIKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Opotiki taken on Saturday, the 31st day of October, 1914, on the proposal of the Opotiki County Council to borrow the sum of £10,000 for the main roads and bridges particularly mentioned, and upon the terms set out in the public notice published in the East Coast Guardian newspaper on the 26th day of September, 1914, and the 1st, 8th, and 15th days of October, 1914, in accordance with the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 193, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 98; the number of informal votes was 3.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
In pursuance of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, notice is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the County of Kawhia taken on the 12th day of May, 1915, on the proposal of the Kawhia County Council to borrow the sum of £1,100 for the extension of the wharf and shed at Kawhia, and the erection of a landing and shed on the Mahoe River, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 100, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

BOROUGH OF NEW PLYMOUTH.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of New Plymouth taken on the 21st day of May, 1915, on the proposal of the New Plymouth Borough Council to borrow by way of special loan the sum of £22,000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 per centum per annum, with a sinking fund of one-half per centum additional, the whole of the loan to be repayable on the 1st day of April, 1933, and to be for the following particular purposes:—
- (a.) The sum of £20,800 to construct bridges and culverts, and form approaches thereto, and to form, metal, and generally improve the streets and footways of the borough.
