  • These remaining suburbs do not lie within borough boundaries, and particulars respecting them have not been obtained for the
    Vital Statistics. Closely correct annual statements of population outside boroughs are not obtainable.

In the above table are given the deaths and death-rates for each of the four cities, for the suburban boroughs severally,
and for each city with its suburban towns.

Deaths occurring at hospitals, of persons not residents of the borough wherein the hospital is situated, have been
allotted in each case to the borough where the disease was contracted, and not to that in which the death actually took
place.
