SCHOOL TEACHERS AT INDUSTRIAL SCHOOLS.
Education Act, 1914.
(1.) For head or sole teacher, salary and allowance in accordance with Part I of Fifth Schedule to Education Act, 1914.
(2.) For assistant teachers, salary as for an assistant teacher of Grade 3 under Part II of the Fourth Schedule to Education Act, 1914.
(3.) The salaries are not to be lowered on account of a fall in the grade of the day-school, although in such a case increments would cease.
(4.) For extra duties imposed outside ordinary school duties, board and residence for the teacher himself (or an additional £30 a year if not resident) is given.

(i.) In addition to the salary payable above there shall be paid by way of salary the sum of £35 per annum in the case of every assistant teacher who is obliged to live away from home.
(ii.) A deduction of 10 per centum from the salary payable in accordance with the foregoing provisions shall be made in the case of every uncertificated head or sole teacher and in the case of every uncertificated assistant, and a deduction of 5 per centum in the case of every assistant or head or sole teacher who is the holder of a temporary certificate or license to teach; but if in any such case the said deduction would reduce the salary below £110 per annum no greater deduction shall be made than is sufficient to reduce the salary to £110.
