NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 21 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, that the undermentioned sections will be open for application at this office on or after Friday, 14th May, 1915.

SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Renewable Lease.

SECTION 2463, Block I, Wataroa Survey District: Area, 348 acres; annual rental, £7 4s.
About 215 acres undulating land, covered with mixed bush, the remainder open swamp and manuka scrub; well watered. Situated fourteen miles and a half from Matainui Post and Telephone Office and cheese-factory—by dray-road for eight miles and a half, and remainder by river-bed. The ford over the Wataroa River is not always passable.

Sections 22, 23, 24, 25, Block X, Mawheraiti Survey District: Area, 219 acres 1 rood; annual rental, £6 16s.
Altitude, from 400 ft. to 450 ft. above sea-level. With the exception of about 12 acres of open plain carrying native grass and bracken fern, the sections comprise bush land carrying birch, rimu, kahikatea, miro, &c., from which the timber of commercial value has been removed. Soil of fair quality, of a depth of from 4 in. to 12 in. The area is divided into two flats by a terrace of about 40 ft. in height. Distant about three miles from Totara Flat Railway-station and post and telegraph office by road and horse-track, and ford across the Grey River.

Section 2803, Block VIII, Gillespies Survey District: Area, 330 acres; annual rental, £6 16s.
Altitude, from 5 ft. to 80 ft. above sea-level. About 190 acres gradually rising land, rather inferior; remainder flat land, somewhat wet in places. Wholly covered with heavy bush of rimu, mito, and kamahi. Pastoral land; well watered. Distant half a mile from Waikukupa Post-office, and thirteen miles and a half from Port of Okarito. Exempt from rent for three years.

Section 2971, Block I, Waiho Survey District: Area, 321 acres; annual rental, £6 16s.
Altitude, about 40 ft. above sea-level. Flat land, somewhat wet. Soil of sandy nature, on gravel subsoil. About 240 acres is covered with white-pine, and the remainder carries mixed bush of rimu, kamahi, and white-pine. Well watered pastoral land. Distant eight miles and three-quarters from Waiho Post and Telephone Office. Exempt from rent for three years.

Section 2592, Block I, Punakaiki Survey District: Area, 350 acres; annual rental, £7 4s.
Altitude, from 20 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level. Comprises broken limestone hills, covered with bush consisting of birch, rata, and red-pine; well watered. Fronts Inland Road, a formed pack-track. Distant from Greymouth twenty-eight miles, and from Barrytown eleven miles.

Section 11, Block XXXVII, Runanga Township: Area, 1 rood 3 perches; annual rental, £1.
Weighted with £110, valuation for improvements consisting of dwellinghouse, &c.

Section 5, Block XV, Runanga Township: Area, 1 rood 1 perch; annual rental, £1.
Weighted with £10, valuations for improvements consisting of dwellinghouse, &c.

License under Regulations for Occupation of Pastoral Lands in Karamea and Westland Mining Districts.

Section 2971, Block VI, Otira Survey District.
Situated on the main Kumara-Christchurch Road, about a mile and a half from Jackson’s Railway-station and post and telephone office. Comprises bushclad flat and terrace land, the higher parts being somewhat stony. Soil of fair quality.

Education Reserves in the Nelson Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Nelson, 6th April, 1915.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections will be offered for lease by public auction for terms of twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal for further successive terms of twenty-one years, at the District Lands and Survey Office, Nelson, at 11 o’clock a.m. on Wednesday, the 26th day of May, 1915, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1908, and amendments, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.
BULLER COUNTY.—TOWN OF WESTPORT.

Section 1 of 375: Area, 20 perches; upset annual rental, £3. Weighted with £110, valuation for buildings.

Section 2 of 375: Area, 20 perches; upset annual rental, £2 10s. Weighted with £135, valuation of buildings.

Situated at intersection of Romilly and Henley Streets, about half a mile from post-office and railway-station.
