Land taken for the Purposes of a Road in Block V,
Portobello District.
[L.S.] LIVERPOOL, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION:
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes
of a road in Block V, Portobello District :
And whereas an agreement has been entered into between
the Portobello Road Board and the owners of the land
described in the Schedule hereto to take such land for the
purposes of a road :
And whereas the Portobello Road Board has laid before
the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, in dupli-
cate, as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the
agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of the said road ; and I also
hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on
and after the fifteenth day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and fifteen.

Situated in Block V, Portobello District.
In the Otago Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36941,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day
of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and fifteen.

Coleridge Water-power Scheme in Block X, Christchurch
Survey District.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the pur-
poses of the development of the Lake Coleridge water-power
scheme in Block X, Christchurch Survey District :
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the
purposes of the development of the Lake Coleridge water-
power scheme; and I do also hereby declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the eighth
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 2 roods
4·6 perches.
Portion of Rural Sections 139 and 215.
Situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 33553
(sheet No. 2), deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial
District, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-

Act, 1908, for a gravel-pit :
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed
and performed :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
in me vested by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this
behalf, do hereby proclaim that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a gravel-pit as afore-
said; and it is hereby declared that this Proclamation shall
take effect on and after the eighth day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Situated in Block VIII, Makotuku Survey District.

Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
