£2,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose—re-forming, culverting, and metalling the Mairoa Road, and portions of the Kihikihi Road within the Mairoa South Special-rating Area—the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the Mairoa South Special-rating Area; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Description of Boundaries.

Commencing at the extreme east of Section Kinohaku East 3D No. 5, and running in a straight line to the south-east corner of Section Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 4B No. 1 (thus cutting the Native Block Kinohaku East 3D 3 in half); thence along the southern boundary of the said Section Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 4B No. 1 and Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 4B, Sections 1, 5, and 6, to the north-east corner of Section 14A, Block VIII, Maungamangero S.D.; thence along the eastern boundary of the Section 14A; thence by the southern boundary of the said 14A, 14, 15, and 15A, Block VIII, Maungamangero S.D.; thence by the western boundary of Section 17, Block XII, Maungamangero S.D., to the Kihikihi Road; thence along the Kihikihi Road in an easterly direction to the north-west corner of Kinohaku East 4F No. 3; thence by the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the said section to the north-west corner of Section Kinohaku East 4F No. 2; thence along the northern boundary of the said section and Section Kinohaku East No. 4E to the north-west corner of Section 13, Block XII, Maungamangero S.D.; thence along the western boundary of the said section and Section 14 to the south-west corner of Kinohaku East pt. E; thence along the southern boundary of the said section and the northern boundary of Kinohaku East 4B, Section 3, to the Te Kuiti–Awakino Road; thence along the Te Kuiti–Awakino Road to the south-east corner of Section Kaingapipi No. 11; thence along the eastern boundary of the said section and Sections 12, 11, 10, 9, and Kinohaku East 3D Sec. 2, and Kinohaku East No. 3B of Block IX, Otanake, to the starting-point.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), authorized to be raised by the borough, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of—

(1.) Meeting the Council’s undertaking with the Audit Department to refund a sum of £1,000 to Loan Account No. 2 for the repayment of the original stone-crusher and road-roller;

(2.) Repaying cost of second stone-crusher and fittings, also quarry land at Te Kumi, not authorized in Loan No. 5 Schedule, and now taken exception to by the Audit Department,—

the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-farthing in the pound on the rateable value (on basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Te Kuiti: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of February and August during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Te Kuiti Borough was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Te Kuiti Borough Council in the presence of—

All creditors of the above-named company whose claims have not already been acknowledged by me are required, on or before the 13th day of March, 1915, to send their names and addresses, and the proofs of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors, if any, to C. Robertson, 215 Lambton Quay, Wellington, and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator, are personally or by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of the final distribution of assets now being made.
