THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

1913, the Council of the City of Dunedin hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of nine thousand four hundred pounds (£9,400), authorized to be raised by the Council of the City of Dunedin, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), (less the accumulated sinking fund which now amounts to six hundred pounds (£600) ), raised by the Corporation of the late Borough of South Dunedin, which became united with the City of Dunedin on the first (1st) April, 1905, the said Council of the City of Dunedin hereby make and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first (1st) day of May and the first (1st) day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution as passed by the Dunedin City Council.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a supplementary loan of £450, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under section 18 of the above Act, for the purpose of completing the installation of street and house lighting by means of Dreadnought gas, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventeenth (1/17) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the said borough comprised within the following areas—(a) the Taumarunui Native Township, bounded on the north by the railway-line, on the west by the Ongarue River, and on the east by the Wanganui River; (b) the Rangaroa Village Settlement; (c) Sections 1 to 27, inclusive, of Ohura South No. 4b Subdivision, and known as Ngatai’s Extension: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Taumarunui Borough Council at a meeting held on the 2nd day of February, 1915.
