SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 3 roods 3 perches.
Portion of Takahiwai Block (17979, blue).
Situated in Block VI, Ruakaka Survey District.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37145, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged yellow.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Kauroo Hill Settlement and Block VI, Kauroo Survey District, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block VI, Kauroo Survey District and Kauroo Hill Settlement; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kauru Hill, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land required to be taken:—
4 acres 0 roods 29 perches, portion of Section 23A, Kauroo Hill Settlement. Coloured red on plan.
3 roods 11 perches, portion of Run 217A (Crown land), Block VI, Kauroo Survey District. Coloured blue on plan.
In the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37202, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Notice to Imprestees under the Public Revenues Act, 1910.
The Treasury,
Wellington, 25th February, 1915.
EVERY officer holding advances of public money is hereby required to pay to the Public Account, at the nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, the unexpended balance of his account on or before Wednesday, the 31st March proximo, and forthwith to transmit to the Treasury at Wellington the bank receipt for such repayment, together with an account of his expenditure to the same date, as required by clause 4 of the Treasury Regulations.
As respects disbursements which officers may require to make immediately after the close of the financial year, requisitions for the amount required are to be made in such time as to enable them to reach Wellington not later than the 20th March, so that the requisite funds may be placed at the disposal of the officer as soon after the 1st April as possible.

Preference will be given to applicants acquainted with the history and working of the various Pensions Acts passed since the year 1898.

Applicants must be qualified accountants (by examination).
The position will be graded in the Clerical Division. Salary, £260, rising to £315 per annum.

APPLICATIONS will be received by the undersigned up till noon on the 12th March, 1915, for the position of 5th Engineer, Lake Coleridge Electric Power-station.

Applications must be addressed to the Secretary to the Public Service Commissioner, Wellington, and must embrace a statement of education and experience, particulars of age, &c.

Normal duty will consist of shift work for six shifts per week of eight hours each; but in case of breakdown or similar contingency, additional time must be worked as required to deal with the emergency.

The power-house engineers will be responsible to the Power-house Superintendent at Lake Coleridge.

Applicants must possess workshop experience, and should state fully what experience they have had in operation of large turbines, alternators, and extra-high-tension switchboards.

Cottages are available at Lake Coleridge at rents ranging from 10s. to 6s. per week, including electric lighting, according to the accommodation provided.
The appointment will be subject to the provisions of the Public Service Act, 1912.
The position will be graded in the General Division. Salary, £200 per annum, rising by annual increments of £10 to £220.
