Judges appointed to try Election Petition.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

In the matter of the Legislature Act, 1908, and all Acts amending the same.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Legislature Act, 1908, and all Acts amending the same, I hereby nominate the Honourable John Henry Hosking, Esquire, and the Honourable Thomas Walter Stringer, Esquire, being respectively Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, to be the Judges before whom shall take place the trial of the election petition following, that is to say:—

(1.) The petition of Nau Parone Kawiti, of Whangarei, Boardinghouse-keeper, and Maera Kuao, of Tautoro, Kaikohe, Settler, against the return and election of Tau Henare as Member of Parliament for the Northern Maori Electoral District, and that it may be determined that the said Tau Henare was not duly elected and returned as a Member of Parliament for the said Northern Maori Electoral District, and that the said election was void.

Legislature Act, 1908.

IN exercise of all powers and authorities enabling us in this behalf, we, being the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand named and appointed to try the election petition presented under the Legislature Act, 1908, and all Acts amending the same, by Nau Parone Kawiti, of Whangarei, Boardinghouse-keeper, and Maera Kuao, of Tautoro, Kaikohe, Settler, against the return and election of Tau Henare as Member of Parliament for the Northern Maori Electoral District, do hereby fix the Courthouse in Whangarei as the place at which, and eleven o’clock in the forenoon of Wednesday, the 3rd day of March, 1915, as the time when, the said petition shall be tried.

Dated this 1st day of February, 1915.
