Fixing the Maximum Price of Wheat.
LIVERPOOL, GOVERNOR.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of January, 1915.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section two of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, it is enacted that at any time when His Majesty is at war with any foreign Prince or State the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, fix and determine the maximum price in New Zealand of any class of goods: And whereas a state of war now exists between His Majesty and the German Emperor: And whereas on the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, the Governor did by Order in Council, in exercise of the powers so conferred upon him by the said Act, fix and determine the maximum price of wheat and flour: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Order in Council and to make other provision in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section two of the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby revoke the above-recited Order in Council of the nineteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and fix and determine the maximum price of wheat in New Zealand in accordance with the provisions of the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby
