Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Cable.

Wellington, 27th November, 1915.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman (Government Printing Office) not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 26th January, 1916, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F. and E., main ports, of the following cable :—

5 miles cable, air-space, lead-covered, 624 pairs.

1 mile 640 yards cable, telephone, double-armoured, lead-covered, submarine, 110 pairs.

1¾ miles cable, telephone, double-armoured, lead-covered, submarine, 100 pairs.

Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington; the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch; or at the offices of the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin.

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908.—Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registry.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Auckland Master Pork-butcher’s Industrial Union of Employers, registered number 860, situated at Auckland, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon me by section 21 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union, after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.

Notice to Mariners No. 99 of 1915.

QUEENSLAND.

Removal of Green Light, Entrance Channel, Cairns.

NOTICE is hereby given that, on Wednesday, the 17th instant, the green light in the Entrance Channel, Cairns Harbour, will be removed to a new beacon situated 150 ft. back from the beacon on which it is at present erected, and it will then mark the intersection of the old and the new cuttings. The old beacon will be removed as soon as practicable thereafter. Vessels entering the port will require to keep the leading-lights in line until the green light is abeam, when they should proceed as hitherto directed.

JAPAN.

Inland Sea.—Newly Established Beacon-light has been shown.

Notice is hereby given that the light of the Ikada-iso lighted beacon on Ikada-iso, W. entrance to Kuru-shima Strait, Inland Sea, has been shown (see notification No. 718 of Department of Communications, September, 1915) since the 1st of October, 1915.

THE PANAMA CANAL.

West Breakwater Light, Limon Bay, Colon and Cristobal Harbour.

On 28th September, 1915, the intensity of the West Breakwater light, Limon Bay, Colon and Cristobal Harbour, was increased from 80 to 300 candle-power. All other characteristics of this light remain unchanged.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—DREDGERS.

Wellington, N.Z., 1st December, 1915.

THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that the dredger “Hapai” is now working in the basin between the Queen’s and Northern wharves, with six moorings laid out in N., S., E., and W. directions.
