LICENSE TO MANUFACTURE HOP-BEER.
[Name of manufacturer] of [Place in which premises situated] having paid into my office the sum of £1 (one pound), in accordance with the provisions of Part III of the Finance Act, 1915, is hereby licensed to manufacture hop-beer for sale, the alcoholic strength of which does not exceed 3 (three) per cent. of proof spirit.
This license shall continue in force until the 31st day of December, 19 .

Extracts from Section 73 of the Finance Act, 1915.
Subsection (3): “Any fermented beverage containing hops, or any extract thereof, and containing more than three per centum of proof spirit shall be deemed to be beer, and the provisions of this Part of this Act shall apply accordingly.”
(NOTE.—This means that any person brewing hop-beer containing more than 3 per centum of proof spirit shall be deemed to have brewed beer without a license and shall be liable to a penalty of £200.)
Subsection (6): “No hop-beer shall be sold, offered for sale, or exposed for sale unless the name and address of the manufacturer are printed on labels affixed to the cask or bottle in which such hop-beer is contained, and every person who commits a breach of this subsection is liable to a penalty of ten pounds.”

Appointing Districts and Places for collecting Beer Duty under Part III of the Finance Act, 1915.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by Part III of the Finance Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), I, Arthur Mielziner Myers, Minister of Customs, do hereby appoint the districts mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto as districts for the purpose of levying and collecting the beer duty imposed by Part III of the said Act. Each district shall respectively comprise the counties set opposite to the name of such district in the second column of the said Schedule, including all boroughs and town districts now constituted or which may from time to time be constituted within the boundaries of those counties, or which are bounded by those counties, or are between those counties or any part thereof and the sea, and shall also include any new county hereafter created within the limits of any such district.
And I do further appoint that the place or places mentioned in the third column of the said Schedule shall be places in the said districts at which the duties leviable under Part III of the said Act shall be paid, received, and collected,
