APPLICATION FOR LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.
UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1908.
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Roxburgh.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, the Roxburgh Amalgamated Mining and Sluicing Company (Limited), of Roxburgh and Manse Street, Dunedin, Mining Company, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 9 a.m., 16th July, 1915.
Date and number of miner’s right: 16th April, 1915; No. 104719.
Address for service: Care of R. Cockburn, Mining Agent, Roxburgh.
Dated at Roxburgh this 16th day of July, 1915.
Schedule.
Locality of the race and its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point near Penstock, in Block III, Teviot; thence through Sections 4, 6, 8, and 10 in 22 in. piping 60 chains in a north-westerly direction; thence through road-line and Sections 12, 14, 16, 20, 22, and 24, 120 chains in ground ditch; thence through racecourse reserve, Section 25, main road, and Section 16, Block I, Teviot, 24 chains in ground ditch; thence in 22 in. piping through part of Sections 16, 3, 1, and 11 of said Block I, Teviot, 36 chains; terminating at mining reserve. Pegs marked A.M.
Length and intended course of race: 250 chains; north-westerly.
Points of intake: One.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Eighteen months; £10,000.
Mean depth and breadth: 2 ft. 6 in. by 12 ft.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.

ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS OF THE PHARMACY BOARD OF NEW ZEALAND FOR THE WELLINGTON (CENTRAL) DISTRICT.
To be elected by the Registered Pharmaceutical Chemists residing within the District of Wellington, the boundaries of which are the same as those of the Provincial Districts of Wellington, Hawke’s Bay, Nelson, and Marlborough.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is my intention to proceed on Friday, the 17th day of December, 1915, to the election of two duly registered pharmaceutical chemists of New Zealand to serve as members of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand, in place of George Bagley and Frederick Castle, who retire by effluxion of time and are eligible for re-election.
All candidates must be nominated in manner provided by the regulations on or before Friday, the 3rd day of December, 1915, at 4 p.m., nominations closing at the office of the Registrar, Routh’s Buildings, Featherston Street, Wellington, where nomination forms may be obtained.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1918; and in the matter of a private company known as “Winters Limited,” having its registered office at Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of the above-named company held on the 2nd day of November instant the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed, viz. :—
“That it is has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908; and that FREDERICK BADLEY, of Wairoa, the Company’s Manager for the time being, be appointed Liquidator for all the purposes of the winding-up.”
