Additional Regulations under the War Regulations Act, 1914.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day
of November, 1915.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

I, ARTHUR WILLIAM DE BRITO SAVILE, Earl of Liverpool,
the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, do hereby, in pursuance of the War Regulations Act, 1914,
and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf,
make the following additional regulations under that Act.

REGULATIONS.

  1. THESE regulations shall be read together with and shall be deemed
    part of the War Regulations made on the 10th day of November, 1914.

  2. No male person over the age of eighteen years shall leave New
    Zealand for any place beyond the seas save in pursuance of a written
    permit issued to him by the Minister or Under-Secretary of Internal
    Affairs and still in force.

  3. Every such permit shall cease to be in force on the expiration
    of one calendar month after the date thereof.

  4. Every such permit may be at any time revoked by the said
    Minister or Under-Secretary by notice in writing to the person to
    whom it was issued.

  5. A permit under these regulations shall be issued as of right
    in all cases in which the said Minister or Under-Secretary is satisfied—
    (a.) That the applicant is neither a British subject nor an alien
    enemy; or
    (b.) That the applicant (not being an alien enemy) arrived in New
    Zealand less than three calendar months before the date of
    his application, and is resident elsewhere than in New
    Zealand.
