TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amendments, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1918, and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Taumarunui Borough Council proposes to take, under the provisions of the above Acts, the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public road or street. And further notice is hereby given that a plan has been prepared showing the land proposed to be taken, a copy whereof (marked “A”) is deposited in the Borough Council Office, Huia Street, Taumarunui, and is open for investigation by all persons during during ordinary office hours—namely, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except on Saturdays, when the office will be closed as from noon. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to such work or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Taumarunui Borough Council, addressed to the Mayor at Taumarunui aforesaid.

Schedule.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing 1 rood 30·7 perches, be the same a little more or less, being Section 7 of that block of land called or known as Ohura South G 3c, situate in the Piopiotea Survey District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the said plan marked “A,” and therein coloured red.

I, DAVID DOUGLAS WALLACE MARTIN, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, now residing in Dunedin, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 30th November, 1915, next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Dunedin.

In the matter of the companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of FERGUSSON & MITCHELL (LIMITED), in Liquidation.

THE creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 8th day of December, 1915, to send their names and addresses and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors (if any), to Messieurs Sievwright, James, & Nichol, the solicitors to the Liquidators of the said company, at their office, 152 High Street, Dunedin; and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidators, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their debts or claims on Friday, the 17th day of December, 1915, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Judge’s Chambers, Supreme Court, Dunedin, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

H. P. SOLOMON & Co. (LIMITED), CHRISTCHURCH.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at Christchurch on the 5th day of November, 1915, the following extraordinary resolutions were unanimously passed.

A. That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.

B. That Mr. Wm. E. Best, Public Accountant, of Christchurch, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.

APPROVAL OF TELEPHONE BY-LAWS OF FEATHERSTON COUNTY.

IN pursuance of the Country Telephone Lines Act, 1912, I, Joseph George Ward, Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, hereby approve of the by-laws relating to country telephone lines made by the Featherston County Council on the 12th day of October, 1915.
