Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Inangahua Survey District, Nelson Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS the provisions and requirements of the seventh section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, have been duly complied with in respect of the land described in Part II of the Schedule hereto: And whereas notices in the Gazette have been duly published for four consecutive weeks, and laid before Parliament, as provided by the said section of the said Act: And whereas no resolution of either House of Parliament has been passed that such House does not concur in the intention declared in any such notice:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Act aforesaid, do hereby change the specific purpose of the portion of the reserve described in Part II of the Schedule hereto from that named in Part I to that named in Part III of the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

Description and Purpose of Original Reserve.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 0 roods 26 perches, more or less, being Section 28 of Square 134, in Block V, Inangahua Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 404·1 links; towards the east and south-east by the Westport—Reefton Road, 556·7 links and 1531 links respectively; towards the south-west by Crown land, 552·2 links; and towards the north-west by Section 27, 1756 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/1241A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Permanently reserved for an accommodation-house site by Warrant published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 1, of the 4th of January, 1900.

PART II.

Description of Portion of Reserve the Purpose of which is hereby changed.

All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section 47 (formerly part of Section 28, Square 134), Block V, Inangahua Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east by the Westport—Reefton Road, 333·33 links; and towards the south-west, north-west, and north-east by parts of the said Section 28, Square 134, Block V, Inangahua Survey District, 300·02 links, 333·33 links, and 300·02 links respectively: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/1241B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

ALL that area in Lewis and Travers Survey Districts, in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 6,000 acres, more or less, and being Section 2 of Square 182. Bounded towards the north generally (52000 links and 18800 links), towards the east (8400 links), towards the south generally (20400 links and 52000 links), and towards the west (8400 links), by Crown lands; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; the northernmost corner commencing at a point about 150 chains from the junction of the Alfred and Maruia Rivers.

Reserved for purposes of public utility by notification in the Nelson Provincial Gazette of the 24th of February, 1875, page 22.

PART II.

Description of Portion of Reserve the Purpose of which is hereby changed.

All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less, being part of Section 2 of Square 182, and now numbered as Section 2, Block IV, Lewis Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a part of the first-mentioned Section 2, 1971·6 links; towards the north-east by a road along the left bank of the Maruia River, 1040·7 links; towards the south-east by another part of the first-mentioned Section 2, 1637 links; and towards the south-west by a line being part of the south-western boundary of the said Section 2, Square 182, 1093·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: excepting the road one chain wide which intersects the land included within the above-described boundaries. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1911/723A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Resting-place for travelling stock.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in the Canterbury Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose for which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be
