and seventeen shall not apply to that portion of Seymour Street which extends for a distance of 2442·4 links along the northern side thereof from its junction with Point Chevalier Road and that portion thereof which extends for a distance of 2441·9 links along the southern side thereof from its junction with Point Chevalier Road ”:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Seymour Street, situated in the Auckland Land District, Point Chevalier Road District, commencing at its junction with the Point Chevalier Road, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 2442·4 links along the northern side, and for a distance of 2441·9 links along the southern side from its junction with the said Point Chevalier Road. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38347, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Akitio County Council.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of October, 1915.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a site for a roadman’s house: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said land should be vested in the Akitio County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section two of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1914, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto in the Akitio County Council.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres, more or less, being Section 8, Block VIII, Mount Cerberus Survey District. Bounded towards the west and north generally by Waihi Road; towards the south-east by Section 9, Block VIII, Mount Cerberus Survey District, 1743·6 links; and towards the south-west by Pongaroa Road: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/585, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Auckland Acclimatization Society’s Game Farm at Drury declared a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Animals Protection Act, and that no imported game or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Lots 1 to 8, Block III, Lots 1 to 20, Block IV, Lots 1 to 9, Block IX, and Lots 7 to 13, Block X, Subdivisions of Allotment No. 22,

Parish of Opaheke, shown on plan No. 35, black, in the office in the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and that part of the said Allotment No. 22 lying between a strip of land shown as a road 33 ft. wide on the aforesaid plan and the Main Trunk Railway line, being the Auckland Acclimatization Society’s game farm at Drury, and also the area lying between the boundary of the said game farm and a line running parallel to and distant one mile from the said boundary.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Opening Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Situated in the Borough of Ohakune, about a mile from Ohakune Post-office and about two miles from Ohakune Railway-station, access from former being by a metalled road and from the latter by a formed dray-road. All flat or slightly undulating, and have been felled and grassed. The larger trees have been milled, but there is still sufficient timber for fencing and firewood. The soil is a good, black, volcanic loam, on shingle or clay formation. Most of the sections are watered by streams running through them. Sections 46, 51, 55, and 59 front a formed and partly metalled road. Provision is being made for the construction of the unformed road fronting the other sections.
