OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Otamatea County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of forming, metalling, and improving the roads in the Whakapirau Riding of the Otamatea County, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 17/100ths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property lying within the Whakapirau Riding of the Otamatea County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Otamatea County Council held on Monday, the 11th day of October, 1915, and the common seal of the Council was hereto affixed in the presence of—

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.

NO. 10 SPECIAL-RATING AREA.—AKATARAWA BRIDGE.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE IN RESPECT OF 10 PER CENT. ADDITIONAL ON LOAN OF £750.

In the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, its amendments, and regulations thereunder.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seventy-five pounds (£75) [ten pounds per centum on loan of seven hundred and fifty pounds (£750)], authorized to be raised by the Hutt County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of a bridge across the Hutt River on the Akatarawa Road, and approaches thereto, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth of a penny (1/50th) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the No. 10 Special-rating Area, Akatarawa Bridge, comprising the lands in the said special-rating area, being the several sections and blocks hereinafter enumerated—that is to say, Sections 8, 12, 13, 32, and 15, Block 13, Akatarawa S.D.; and Sections 1, 358, 357, 356, 355, 215, and that part of Section 172 which is situate north of the Hutt River, and Sections 216, 360, Block 14, Akatarawa S.D.; and all the sections comprised in Blocks 10 and 6, Akatarawa S.D.; and Sections 398, 399, 400, 403, 404, 407, 406, 405, 402, 401, Block 2, Akatarawa S.D. And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt was hereto affixed on the 12th October, 1915.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the metalling of No. 7 Road, Waitoa, the said Piako County Council makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-eighth of a penny per pound upon the unimproved value of the rateable property comprised in the area below described:—

All that area of land in Waitoa Riding of the County of Piako commencing at the south-eastern boundary-corner of Section 59 of the Waitoa Estate at where it junctions with the railway-line; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundaries of Sections 59, 60, 61, and 62 of the Waitoa Estate to No. 2 Road; thence continuing northerly along a right line through centre of Sections 53, 52, 51, 50, 49, and 48 of the Waitoa Estate to No. 4 Road; thence continuing northwards along the eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 25, 23, 22, 21, and 19 of the Ballachragan Subdivision to the boundary-line between the Counties of Piako and Ohinemuri, along such county boundary in a westerly direction to a point in Section 83 of the Waitoa Estate 60 chains west of No. 7 Road; thence by a right line in a southerly direction through the centre of Sections 82, 81, 80, 79, 78, 77, 76, 75, 74, 73, 72, and 71 of the Waitoa Estate; thence continuing southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 65, 64, and 63 and by a right line through Section 68 of the Waitoa Estate to its southern boundary 20 chains west from where such boundary-line joins the railway-line; thence easterly along such southern boundary to the railway-line, which along in a north-easterly direction to the point of commencement.

Such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Piako County Council at a meeting held on the 15th day of September, 1915.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
