Declaring Crown Lands in Westland and Karamea Mining Districts, Nelson Land District, open for Disposal.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district not held under lease or license, or for which a lease or license has been cancelled, to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-third section of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Wednesday, the eighth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.

Murchison County.—Maruia Survey District.

SECTION 4, Block VIII: Area, 755 acres; capital value, £460; half-yearly rent, £9 4s.

Weighted with £18, valuation for improvements.

Mostly high steep spurs, with limestone cliffs on the south side; all bush, black and brown birch, with a little rimu and white-pine, &c.; well watered. Access by dray-road fourteen miles from Murchison.

Waimea County.—Motueka Survey District.

Section 9, Block VI: Area, 80 acres 0 roods 17 perches; capital value, £40; half-yearly rent, 16s.

Hilly land of clay formation, carrying light mixed timber of manuka, birch, and pine. Seven miles from Motueka Township by dray-road, last half mile unformed; also access by Mount Campbell Track.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Upper Hutt.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Railways that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Upper Hutt Town District, the local authority of which has assented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Upper Hutt Town Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 34·5 perches.

Portion of railway reserve (S.O. 1300).

Situated in Block I, Rimutaka Survey District, Upper Hutt Town District.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22944, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to take further land at Mill Road, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land: 1 acre 0 roods 38·3 perches, portion of Section 37; and 3 roods 35·2 perches, portion of Section 38. (S.O. 70, red.)

Situated in Block II, Invercargill Hundred, Southland County.

In the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22706, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red and blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.
