Declaring Crown Lands in Hauraki Mining District, Auckland Land District, open for Disposal.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district not held under lease or license, or for which a lease or license has been cancelled, to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-thirty-third section of the said Act, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open on Monday, the twenty-second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—GREAT BARRIER ISLAND COUNTY.—AOTEA PARISH.

Second-class Land.

SECTION 175: Area, 149 acres 2 roods; capital value, £75; half-yearly rent, £1 10s.

Altitude, 20 ft. to 500 ft. above sea-level. Hilly land; about 10 to 15 acres swamp, easily drainable; 20 acres light mixed forest; balance fern and manuka. Brown soil of medium quality, on clay subsoil; poorly watered by small stream. Distant eight miles from Whangaparapara, of which three miles is by cart-road, thence by beach and bridle-track.

Section 177: Area, 195 acres 3 roods 22 perches; capital value, £75; half-yearly rent, £1 10s.

Weighted with £13 10s., valuation for improvements comprising 6 acres grassing and 30 chains fencing, in favour of person entitled thereto.

Altitude, 30 ft. to 450 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to broken land, covered with tall manuka and mixed scrub. Soil of inferior quality, on clay subsoil; poorly watered. Distant nine miles from Whangaparapara—three miles by cart-road, balance by beach and bridle-track.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Rangitikei County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Wangaehu Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:—

16 perches, portion of Block LXXIX, Rangitikei. Situated in Block XIV. Coloured purple on plan.

1 acre 1 rood 34 perches, portion of Section 1 of Block X, Rangitikei. Situated in Block XV. Coloured pink on plan.

Situated in Wangaehu Survey District (Rangitikei R.D.).
