BOROUGH OF MOUNT EDEN.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Mount Eden Borough Council held on Monday, the 23rd day of August, 1915, the following resolution was duly passed:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby resolves as follows,—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600, to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the payment of the proportion payable by it for the provision of a flushing-tank for the disposal of nightsoil, the said Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Eden; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL.

HILL-MORTEN SPECIAL LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,200, authorized to be raised by the Waimairi County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for concrete channelling, asphalting, and regrading roads, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Hill-Morten Special-rating Area in the Middleton Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, to be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and the first day of July in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RAETIHI TOWN DISTRICT.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Raetihi Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £30,000, authorized to be raised by the said Raetihi Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing a water-supply, electric lighting, sanitary drainage, and streets improvements for the Raetihi Town District, the said Raetihi Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/3 in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Raetihi Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was made and passed by the Raetihi Town Board at a special meeting of the Board held on 18th August, 1915.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for procuring the necessary land for and making and forming Pratt’s Hill Deviation, the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen-sixteenths (13/16ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Pratt’s Hill Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Parish of Opaheke, Drury Riding of Franklin County, bounded as follows,—

Commencing at the north-western corner of Sec. 234 in the Parish of Opaheke, proceeding in a north-easterly direction generally along the northern, north-western, north-eastern, and eastern boundaries generally of said Sec. 234, Secs. 161, 157, 199, 192, 120, 119, 124, 125, and 96 to the easternmost corner of said Sec. 96, Parish of Opaheke; thence along the south-eastern boundary of said Sec. 96 to the northernmost corner of Sec. 201; thence by north-eastern boundary of said Sec. 201 and Sec. 202 to the road-junction between said Sec. 202 and Sec. 203; then along northern and north-eastern boundary of said Sec. 203 to the northernmost corner of said Sec. 203, and thence along the north-eastern boundary of said Sec. 203, northern, eastern, and southern boundary of Sec. 93, to the northernmost corner of Sec. 90; thence by north-eastern boundary of Sec. 90 to public road; thence proceeding in a westerly direction generally along the surveyed road following southern boundaries generally of said
