trading with the enemy, and with regulations in force under
the War Regulations Act, 1914, and in particular I am aware
of the penalties described in regard to any person who aids,
abets, counsels, procures, or is in any way knowingly con-
cerned in the commission of any offence against those Acts
or regulations.
I undertake that no legal document in the preparation of
which, or in the execution of which by a prisoner of war,
I have assisted or been concerned shall be used to enable
or shall result in the transmission of money to an enemy
country.
Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the
Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II, Unclaimed Lands.
WHEREAS the Public Trustee has, for the purpose
of Part II of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908,
and its amendments (relating to unclaimed lands), made
due inquiries with respect to the land described in the
Schedule hereunder, and the whereabouts of the owner
thereof, and has, in respect of the said land, given the
notices prescribed by section 66 of the said Act, and has
in all respects complied with the provisions of that Act
pertinent hereto: And whereas the Public Trustee has not
thereby ascertained the whereabouts of the owner or of any
agent of such owner in New Zealand, nor has such owner
established his title to the said land, as required by the said
Act:
Now, I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, hereby give
notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the
said Act, vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from
the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered
under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its amendments;
the value of the land for the purposes of section 67(d) of
the said Act being less than £100.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland,
containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, being
Allotment 139, Parish of Waimana, County of Opotiki.
Bounded towards the north-west by Allotment 138, 4515
links; towards the south-east by high-water mark of the
Ohiwa Harbour; towards the south by Allotment 140,
2567 links; and towards the west by a road 100 links wide,
983 links.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Reserves in Westland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned re-
serves will be offered for lease by public auction at
this office on Wednesday, 13th October, 1915, at 2.30 o'clock
p.m., under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908, and amendment.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
PART Reserve 364, Block XV, Wataroa Survey District:
Area, 186 acres; upset annual rental, £5.
Comprises wholly bush-clad land, about 100 acres flat and
remainder somewhat steep terrace. The bush on the flat is
mixed and fairly light, and on the terrace heavy. The soil
is generally fair, but somewhat stony, on gravel subsoil;
well watered by creeks. Situated on the main South Road
three miles from Wataroa Post and Telephone Office.
Reserve 334, Block IV, Bruce Bay Survey District: Area,
200 acres; upset annual rental, £2.
With the exception of a strip of about 20 acres of dry land
along the beach frontage, the reserve comprises swampy
land covered with flax and scrub. Situated one mile south
of the Karangarua River, five miles from Bruce Bay Post
and Telephone Office by beach road.
Reserve 332, Block IV, Mount Douglas Survey District :
Area, 200 acres; upset annual rental, £6.
Weighted with £83 10s., valuation for improvements con-
sisting of clearing and fencing.
Comprises mostly flat land, covered with bush varying from
light scrub to heavy bush. Good loamy soil. Situated on
the main South Road about a mile from Mahitahi Post and
Telephone Office.
Reserve 177, Block XII, Okuru Survey District : Area,
189 acres; upset annual rental, £2.
Mostly flat land, swampy in parts, covered with light mixed
bush. About half of the area comprises good alluvial soil;
well watered. Situated on Haast Pass Track, about three
miles from Haast Post and Telephone Office by good metalled
pack-track.
Reserve 1241, Block XII, Pohaturoa Survey District:
Area, 232 acres; upset annual rental, £5.
All flat land, light soil on shingle subsoil, 100 acres covered
with heavy beach bush, and remainder carrying light scrub
and flax. Well watered. Situated at the junction of the
Grey and Robinson Rivers, about twelve miles from Kopara
by rough riding-track and Nancy River bed, and about
forty-three miles from Reefton—by dray-road for thirty
miles, and balance by bush-track and river-bed.
Weighted with £186 5s., valuation for improvements
consisting of hut, sheep-yards, clearing, grassing, and fencing.
ABSTRACT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.
- One half-year's rent at the rate bid, together with
£2 2s. lease fee, to be deposited on the fall of the hammer. - Possession will be given on the day of the sale.
- Term of lease is twenty-one years.
- On the expiry or determination of the lease the lessee will
be entitled to compensation for improvements, valued by
arbitration: provided that the improvements have been
made with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown
Lands. - No conditions are imposed as to residence.
- Rent is payable half-yearly, in advance.
- Lessee to have no right to dispose of his interest in the
lease without the written consent of the Commissioner of
Crown Lands. - Lessee to prevent the growth and spread of noxious
weeds. - Lessee to pay all rates, taxes, and other assessments.
- The lessee will be required to provide accommodation
for travelling stock at the rate of ld. per head per day
for sheep, and 3d. per head per day for cattle. - Lease liable to forfeiture if conditions not fulfilled
within thirty days after the date the same ought to be ful-
filled.
