Validating Proceedings in connection with a Loan of £500 proposed to be raised by the Woodville County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of August, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Woodville County Council lately proposed to raise a loan of five hundred pounds for the purpose of forming and metalling the upper portion of the road known as Dairy Road giving access to Section 28, Block IX, Woodville Survey District, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913:
And whereas the public notification of the deposit of the special roll, although given on the fifth day, was not given on the first day of the deposit, as required by the above-mentioned Act and the regulations issued thereunder:
- And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the said proceedings:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the said proceedings; and doth hereby order and declare that the said proceedings shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the said public notification of the deposit of the special roll had been given at the proper time, and that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Opening Settlement Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and amendments, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Wednesday, the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
