Revoking Part of a Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a Rifle Range in Blocks XIV, Kopuaranga, and II, Otahoua Survey Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, it is enacted that, if at any time after the issue or making of any Proclamation taking land under the Public Works Act, 1908, and before the payment or award of any compensation in respect of the taking thereof, it is found that any land or any part thereof is not required for the purpose for which it was taken, or that any error in form or substance exists in or in relation to that Proclamation, the Governor may, by a subsequent Proclamation gazetted, revoke the former Proclamation, either wholly or in so far as he thinks necessary:

And whereas it is found that portion of the area of eighteen acres one rood seven perches, being part of the land taken for the purposes of a rifle range by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen (hereinafter termed "the said Proclamation"), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, page 3052, of the sixth day of the same month, is not required for the purpose for which it was taken : And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded : Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects that portion of the aforesaid area of eighteen acres one rood seven perches which is described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land not required: 6 acres 2 roods 28.5 perches. Portion of Te Oreore Rifle Range (formerly part of Okurupatu A 3 No. 2A 1E). Situated in Block II, Otahoua Survey District.

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 38419, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured edged red.

Stopping Government Roads in Blocks XIII, Matiri, and I, Tutaki Survey Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof: And whereas the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto are no longer required for the purpose of roads: Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the roads described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road hereby stopped:- 5 acres 0 roods 30 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections 4, 64, and 65. Situated in Block XIII, Matiri Survey District. 2 acres O roods 4 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections 79 and 80. Situated in Block I, Tutaki Survey District.

In the Nelson Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37133, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Consenting to a Mortgage of Native Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of August, 1915.

Present :
His Excellency The Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and thirty of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that no instrument of alienation of Native land by way of mortgage or charge, other than a mortgage or charge in favour of a State Loan Department, shall be confirmed by a Board or the Court without the precedent consent of the Governor in Council: And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor in Council to a mortgage of the blocks or parcels of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto: And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the blocks or parcels of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

WAIUKU WEST Lot 127 Block: Approximate area, 47 acres. 128 " " 22 " 129 " " 26 " Situated in the Auckland Provincial District.
