| Prohibitions.—Bullion exceeding £5 in value, oilskins, and similar goods. Observations.—Parcels for the Lower Congo (Banana, Boma, Matadi, Ponta da Lenna, Vivi) are liable on delivery to a charge of 1 franc, for the Upper Congo (Bengala, Kukunga, Kunchassa, Kwamouth, Leopoldville, Lutete) and for the Katanga Province, if forwarded via Belgium, to a charge of 10 francs, and for the Katanga Province, if forwarded via Beira or Cape Town, to special charges. No parcel forwarded by way of Beira may exceed £50 in value. No compensation is paid in respect of loss or damage of parcels or their contents sent via Beira or Cape Town. Parcels for the places in the Katanga Province mentioned below can be accepted for transmission via Beira or Cape Town only: Baya, Bellefontaine, Dilolo, Dipudi, Elisabethville, Guba, Kafubu, Kakonde, Kalonga, Kambove, Kansenia, Kapiri, Kaponda, Kasenga, Katende, Katentania Kavalo, Kayoyo, Kazenze, Kilwa, Kimbundji, Koni, La Chasse, Luafi, Luanza, Lubumbashi, Lufra, Lukafu, Lukonzolwa, Lulua, Mikola, Mokambo, Mushoshi, Musofi, Nieuwdorp, Pweto, Ruwe, Sakabinda, Sakania, Sampwe, Shiniama, Sokele, Star of Congo, Tshinsenda, Tshisengwe, Welgelegen. | Belgian Congo. |
| Prohibitions.—Absinthe, air-guns and air-pistols, poignards, bayonets, swordsticks, saccharine and similar products (unless for authorized chemists and under 4 oz. in weight), plants (unless accompanied by a phylloxera certificate), coin, bullion exceeding £5 in value, oilskins, and similar goods. Hand-made lace may not be included in uninsured parcels. Observations.—Parcels are delivered by the Railway Company and not by the Post Office. Parcels intended to be called for should be addressed “En Gare,” not “Poste Restante.” | Belgium. |

Parcels addressed to a Post Restante are not admitted. Observations.—Limit of weight, 6½ lb. Parcel-post extends only to Rio de Janeiro (including Petropolis), Bello Horizonte (Minas Geraes), Curityba, Para, Pernambuco, Bahia, and places in the State of São Paulo. | Brazil. |
