Appointments to the Staff, New Zealand Expeditionary Force (Samoa), 1914.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the following appointments to the Staff, New Zealand Expeditionary Force (Samoa), 1914, and with effect from 1st January, 1915 :—

STAFF.

Captain Hubert Havard Wright, Army Service Corps, to be General Staff Officer, vice Major William Richard Pinwill, Imperial General Staff.

Captain Joseph Garrett Roache, 5th (Wellington) Regiment, to be Assistant Quartermaster-General, vice Captain Hubert Havard Wright.

PERSONAL APPOINTMENTS.

Lieutenant Henry Cumberland Cotton, Corps of New Zealand Engineers, to be Aide-de-Camp to the Acting Administrator, Samoa, vice Captain Thomas Ralph Eastwood, The Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort’s Own).

Lieutenant Henry Cumberland Cotton, A.D.C., Corps of New Zealand Engineers, to be Orderly Officer to the Acting Administrator, Samoa, vice Lieutenant William Henry Dillon Bell.

Appointment of an Officer to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force (2nd Reinforcements) cancelled, and another Officer substituted.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 133, of the 10th December, 1914, appointing Lieutenant Frank Stanley Robinson, Auckland Garrison Artillery, to the Field Artillery Brigade, New Zealand Expeditionary Force (2nd Reinforcements), be cancelled; and, further, that the name of Lieutenant Norman Edward Lee, New Zealand Field Artillery, be substituted in lieu, and with effect from 24th November, 1914.

Major Harry Rowland Potter is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel while employed as Commandant of the Reinforcement Camp. Dated 16th December, 1914.

Captain (temporary Major) Daniel Aloysius Hickey, D.S.O., to be Major. Dated 1st January, 1915.

The undermentioned Captains to be Majors. Dated 1st January, 1915 :—

Robert Oswald Chesney.

John Evelyn Duigan.

Captain Percy William Skelley to be Assistant Adjutant-General. Dated 26th November, 1914.

The undermentioned Lieutenants (temporary) are attached, while employed with the New Zealand Military Forces. Dated 21st December, 1914 :—

Francis Edward Ostler, Army Service Corps.

The Regiment of Royal New Zealand Artillery.

The undermentioned are granted the temporary rank of 2nd Lieutenants while employed with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. Dated 1st September, 1914 :—
