MERCER DISTRICT.
All that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the northern boundaries of Mangatawhiri and Koheroa Parishes, from the junction of roads at the eastern corner of Allotment No. 51, Mangatawhiri Parish, to the Mangatangi Stream ; thence towards the south-east generally by that stream to its confluence with the Maramarua River; thence by the said Maramarua River to its confluence with the Whangamarino River, and by that river to its confluence with the Waikato River; thence by a line running due west across the Waikato River, and by its left bank to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Tuakau Parish; thence towards the west generally by a right line across the Waikato River and by Tuakau and Pukekohe Parishes to the southernmost corner of Allotment No. 38, Mangatawhiri Parish; thence by Allotments Nos. 38, 37, 36, 35, 34, and 23, Mangatawhiri Parish, and the road forming the eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 23, 24, 25, and part of 73, and the road forming the southern boundary of Allotment No. 51, Mangatawhiri Parish, to the junction of roads at the eastern corner of that allotment, the place of commencement.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Pukekohe District, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Pukekohe and Mercer Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
