ADDITIONAL EMOLUMENTS.—ALLOWANCES FOR UNIFORM AND RATIONS.

  1. (ii.) In addition to “active pay” and “deferred pay,” each subordinate and commissioned officer shall receive—
    In cash—1s. per diem, allowance towards cost of uniform ;
    Rations in kind, or allowance in lieu at 1s. 4d. per diem ;
    Medical attendance, valued at 3d. per diem.
    Subject to the approval of the Naval Authority, allowance towards cost of uniform, covering the period of first twelve months’ service, may be paid in advance to subordinate and commissioned officers on first appointment.
    If serving in harbour ships or establishments, the allowance in lieu of rations will be 1s 2d. per diem only.

SPECIAL ALLOWANCES.—COMMISSIONED AND SUBORDINATE OFFICERS.

  1. (iii.) (a.) Rates of pay for special duties for all commissioned and subordinate officers shall be the same as obtain in the Royal Navy.
    (b.) Lodging-allowance (for officers not provided with cabin accommodation or quarters on shore) :—
