Notice to Mariners No. 77 of 1914.

AUCKLAND HARBOUR.—ERECTION OF BEACONS IN TAMAKI RIVER.

Wellington, N.Z., 6th August, 1914.

THE Auckland Harbour Board have notified that beacons have been erected at the eastern and western ends of the rock in mid-channel of the Tamaki River off the Panmure Wharf.

The outer or easternmost beacon is diamond in shape and red in colour, and bears 150° (S. 45° E. magnetic) from the end of the wharf and distant 140 ft. The inner or westernmost beacon is triangular in shape and red in colour, and bears 251° (S. 56° W. magnetic) from the eastern beacon and distant 320 ft. The beacons mark the extreme east and west points of the rock which shows just awash at L.W.S.T.

Notice to Mariners No. 83 of 1914.

RELIGHTING THE NEW ZEALAND HARBOUR AND COASTAL LIGHTS.

Wellington, N.Z., 18th August, 1914.

IN connection with Notice to Mariners No. 82 of 1914, notice is hereby given that the lighthouses at Pencarrow Head, Somes Island, Godley Head, Taiaroa Head, and Cape Foulwind have been relighted as from Saturday, 15th August, 1914, and the harbour lights at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Westport have been relighted as from Monday, 17th August, 1914. The fog-signals at Pencarrow Head, Godley Head, and Taiaroa Head have resumed operation as from 15th August, 1914.
