Special Asphalting Loan Area of the Avonside Riding of the County of Heathcote taken on the 12th day of August, 1914, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £1,200 for concrete channelling, &c., the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 50, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 34.

I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Special Loan of £1,200, East Linwood Special Loan Area, Bromley Riding.

In pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the East Linwood Special Loan Area of the Bromley Riding of the County of Heathcote taken on the 10th day of August, 1914, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £1,200 for concrete channelling, &c., the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 22, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 4.

I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

Constitution of a Special Roading District in Terms of Section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913.

PURSUANT to section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and the regulations thereunder, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands, do hereby, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the Taranaki Land District, declare the lands referred to in the Schedule hereto to be a special district for the purposes of the said section; and such district shall be known as the Puke Special Road District.

As witness my hand this 13th day of August, 1914.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XII, Mangaoporo Survey District, for a Native School.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Native school in Block XII, Mangaoporo Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tapuwaeroa, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XIII, Waihou Survey District, for the more Effective Carrying-out of Drainage and other Works in the Hauraki Plains.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Hauraki Plains Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the more effective carrying-out of drainage and other works authorized by the latter Act.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Thames, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Consent to Exchange of Crown Land for Native Land.

WHEREAS by Part XIX of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided, inter alia, that exchanges of Crown land for Native land must be effected through the Native Land Purchase Board: And whereas it is expedient that the exchange set out in the Schedule hereto should be effected:

Now, therefore, the Native Land Purchase Board, in pursuance of the powers conferred by Part XIX of the Native Land Act, 1909, doth hereby consent to such exchange.

And it is hereby declared that this notice, made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Native Land Purchase Board.
