Defining the Middle-line of a Portion of the Opunake Branch
of the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Opunake Branch of the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1912: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain a portion of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said portion of railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway line, 211 miles 11·503 chains from Thorndon Station, between Sections 16 and 17, Block XIII, Ngaire Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly and westerly direction generally for a distance of 6 miles 70 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz.: Sections 25, 53, Skeet Road, Section 61, Skeet Road,
Sections 48, 42, and 41, all in Block XIII, Ngaire Survey District; Hastings Road, Sections 26 and 20, Duthie Road, Sections 10 and 11, all in Block XVI, Kaupokonui Survey District; and Palmer Road, Sections 13 and 11, all in Block XV, Kaupokonui Survey District; and terminating at a point on the boundary of the said Section 11 and Manaia Road, in Block XV, Kaupokonui Survey District, marked 6 miles 70 chains: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Taranaki Land District: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 35821, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

NOTE.—“Not otherwise enumerated” appears as n.o.e.; “other kinds” as o.k.; “articles and materials suited only for, and to be used solely in, the fabrication of goods in the Dominion” as a. & m.s. Articles marked thus † are revised decisions.
