  • Interest and sinking fund on buildings valued at £50, payable in cash or in ten years by half-yearly instalments of £3 4s. 9d. Total half-yearly payment, £12 18s. 3d.

Section 1.—Altitude, 150 ft. to 160 ft. About 30 acres are rather low-lying, and subject at times to flood. Soil is deep, rich, deposited loam on gravel bottom. Frontage on two sides to Orawia–Tuatapere Road, and distant about six miles from Tuatapere Railway-station by good gravelled road, and three miles from Orawia.

Sections 8 and 9.—Altitude, from 150 ft. to 220 ft. Open land, fairly flat, with good fall towards the north. Soil good; swamps have been drained. Frontage on north to the Orawia–Tuatapere Road, and distant from Tuatapere Railway-station from six miles to six miles and a quarter by good gravelled road, and three miles from Orawia.

Section 10.—Altitude, 150 ft. to 360 ft. About 72 acres are flat, the balance being hilly, but not steep or broken except in a few places. Frontage to Orawia–Tuatapere Road, and distant six miles and a half from Tuatapere Railway-station by good gravelled road, and three miles from Orawia.

Section 16.—Altitude, 150 ft. to 160 ft. Open land, fairly flat. Soil good. Frontage to Orawia–Tuatapere Road, and distant six miles and a half from Tuatapere Railway-station, and three miles from Orawia.

Lands temporarily reserved for Purposes of Public Recreation in Block I, Naseby Survey District, Otago Land District.


LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Otago Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for purposes of public recreation.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 36 perches, more or less, being Section 79, Block I, Naseby Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Crown lands, 399·5 links; towards the east by Crown lands, 1312·7 links; towards the south by Crown lands, 525·8 links; and towards the west by Crown lands, 699·9 and 560·9 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 38 perches, more or less, being Section 80, Block I, Naseby Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 13, Block I, Naseby Survey District, 400 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 671·5 links; towards the south-west by Crown lands, 358·3 links; and towards the west by Crown lands, 656 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/696, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Lands temporarily reserved for Water-conservation Purposes in Block XI, Ohinemuri Survey District, Auckland Land District.


LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 927 acres 1 rood 34 perches, more or less, being Section No. 6, Block XI, Ohinemuri Survey District. Commencing at Trig. Station 86 in Block XI, Ohinemuri Survey District, bounded towards the north-west by lines bearing 31° 23′, 821·6 links, 86° 51′, 2211 links; towards the north-east by a line bearing 93° 22′, 4149·2 links; again towards the north-west by a line bearing 73° 34′, 2011·2 links; again towards the north-east by lines bearing 91° 30′, 2254·7 links, 120° 21′, 2677·2 links, and 148° 13′, 2602 links; towards the south-east by lines bearing 217° 3′, 3533·9 links, 259° 15′, 3951·7 links, and 236° 29′, 2444·2 links; towards the south-west by lines bearing 295° 19′, 2088·1 links, 276° 30′, 4161·4 links, and 336° 22′, 2242·6 links; and again towards the north-west by a line bearing 4° 59′, 3966·6 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid bearings and linkages more or less: save and excepting the roads intersecting the above-described land: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1913/1461, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned :

And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for a public recreation-ground.
