by a Proclamation made under the Public Works Act, 1908, dated the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 92, page 3796, of the twenty-third day of the same month, is no longer required for the purposes for which it was taken: And whereas compensation in respect of the taking of the said land has not been paid or awarded:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Stopping a Government Road in Block VII, Ohura Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:
And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Appointing a Member of Assessment Court under the Valuation of Land Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third day of June, 1914.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the person mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be a member of the Assessment Court for the special district set opposite his name.

Declaring Streets in the Borough of Gore to be under the Control and Management of the Gore Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of June, 1914.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the streets described in the Schedule hereto shall on and after the date of this Order in Council be under the control and management of the Council of the Borough of Gore.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that street in the Borough of Gore known as Miro Street, and running in an easterly and westerly direction between and adjoining Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 15, of Section 23, Block XVI, Town of Gore, and being 8 chains in length, more or less.
Also all that street in the said borough known as Rata Street, commencing at its junction with the said Miro Street and running in a southerly direction along the eastern frontages of Lots 15 and 16 of Section 23, and Lots 1, 2, 3, 6, and 12, of Section 12, Block XVI, Town of Gore, to its junction with Bury Street, being a distance of 12 chains, more or less.
Also all that street in the said borough known as Rimu Street, commencing at its junction with Rata Street aforesaid and running in a westerly direction between Lots 3, 4, 5, and Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 18, of Section 12, Block XVI, Town of Gore, to the boundary of the Invercargill–Gore Railway, being a distance of 6 chains, more or less.
As the said streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 35824, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.
