Subject to all existing licenses and rights granted over the land for tram-lines, water-races, or other purposes.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), a Scenery Preservation Board is constituted, and it is enacted that such Board shall, when so directed by the Minister charged for the time being with the administration of the said Act, inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic interest, or on which there are thermal springs, and make inquiries respecting the same, and report to the Governor; and shall from time to time recommend what lands, whether Crown or private, shall be permanently reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and report on the land described in the Schedule hereunder, and has recommended that the said land should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be scenic reserves under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
HAE HAE TE MOANA SCENIC RESERVES.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 86 acres, more or less, being Reserve 3883 (in red), (Four Peaks Settlement), situated in Block XV, Four Peaks Survey District. Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Reserve 3884; thence bounded towards the east by Sections 4 and 6, by lines aggregating 4216·7 links; towards the south-west and south generally by the Hae Hae Te Moana River; towards the south-west and north-west by Section 1A, 1337·7 links and 1817·2 links respectively; and again towards the north-west by Reserve 3884, 2662·3 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 388/30A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 41 acres and 5 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3884 (in red), (Four Peaks Settlement), situated in Block XV, Four Peaks Survey District. Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 4; bounded thence towards the north-east and south-east by that section, 754·3 links and 938·1 links respectively; again towards the south-east by Reserve 3883, 2662·3 links; towards the north-west by part of Section 1, 3081·3 links; again towards the north-east generally by the road-line, 1218·7 links and 232·9 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 388/30B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 44 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3891, situated in Block III, Otaio Survey District (Claremont Settlement), and bounded north-eastward and south-eastward generally by Lot 11, Claremont Settlement, 4081·1 links; again south-eastward by a public road, 741·1 links; south-westward by Rural Sections 23545, 26668, 28282, and 31099, 2880·4 links; and north-westward by Lot 9, Claremont Settlement, 1207·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 662/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.
