NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserves
will be offered for lease by public auction at this office
at 12 o'clock noon on Wednesday, 3rd June, 1914, under the
provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

Possession will be given on day of sale.
-
The lease shall be for the term specified, without right
of renewal, and subject to resumption by twelve months'
notice in the event of the land being required by the Crown. -
No compensation shall be claimed by the lessee, nor
shall any be allowed by the Crown, on account of any im-
provements that may be placed upon the land, or on account
of the aforesaid possible resumption, or for any other cause;
but he may, on the expiration or sooner determination of
the lease, remove any buildings or fencing erected by him,
but not otherwise. -
The land comprised in the lease shall be used for grazing
purposes only, and shall not be broken up or cropped. -
The purchaser of the lease shall, immediately upon the
fall of the hammer, deposit an amount equal to six months'
rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. lease fee. -
The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or
otherwise dispose of the whole or any portion of the land
comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of
the Commissioner of Crown Lands. -
The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse,
broom, and sweetbrier on the land comprised in the lease,
and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove or cause to
be removed all noxious weeds or plants as may be directed
by the Commissioner of Crown Lands. -
The lessee shall once a year during the said term, and
at the proper season of the year, properly cut and trim all
live fences now on the demised land, or which may be planted
thereon during the said term. -
The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance, free
from all deductions whatsoever. -
The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee
fails to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within
thirty days after the date on which the same ought to have
been fulfilled.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sec-
tions will be offered for lease by public auction, for
terms of twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal
for further successive terms of twenty-one years, at the
local Lands Office, Gisborne, at 11 o'clock a.m. on Wednes-
day, the 24th day of June, 1914, under the provisions of the
Education Reserves Act, 1908, and amendments, and the
Public Bodies' Leases Act, 1908.

Section 4.—All flat land; soil heavy loam. About 25 acres in crop last season, but this area has just been resown in rye and barley; balance of section has a splendid sole of good clean English rye-grass. Situated about six miles from Gisborne by good metalled road. The improvements comprise 88 chains fencing, £33; and grassing, £182 17s. 6d.
Section 5.—All flat land; soil partly sandy loam and heavy loam; whole of section laid down in good clean English rye-grass. Situated about seven miles from Gisborne by good metalled road. The improvements comprise 65½ chains fencing, £24 11s. 3d.; and grassing, £157 10s.
ABSTRACT OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

A half-year's rent at rate offered, lease and registration fees (£2 2s.), and valuation for improvements to be paid on fall of hammer.

Term of lease, twenty-one years from date of sale, with perpetual right of renewal for successive terms of twenty-one years.

Rent of renewal lease to be fixed by arbitration. If lessee does not desire new lease at end of the term, land to be leased by auction. The incoming lessee to pay the value of improvements, which is to be handed over to outgoing lessee, less any sums due to the Crown.

No transfer or sublease allowed without the consent of the Land Board.
